The Galleries wins award for Summer Beach

The Galleries has won a national award for the beach event it held in Woodcock Square last summer.
The shopping centre won a Merit Award at the British Council of Shopping Centres’ Purple Apple Marketing Awards, which was held in London last Week. The Galleries was up against stiff competition from other shopping centres across the UK, but scooped the prestigious award which was presented by Claudia Winkleman.
Richard Paxton, centre director of The Galleries commented:
“We are delighted that the centre has achieved this award. The summer beach was a great event for the people of Wigan. We are now in the process of planning an event for this summer and more details will be released soon! ”
